Black Thought

“From the steel promenade where the mystical renegade / Mastered the art of how the physical disintegrate.”

As the frontman of The Roots and the author of the legendary 10-minute Hot 97 Funk Flex freestyle, Black Thought represents peak vocal stamina and intellectual density. He weaves historical scholarship, Philly corner dialect, and four-syllable rhyme chains without ever dropping a breath.
